The Power of Choice with Orange

June 23, 2018

“I got fired because I am not good enough and my boss always picked on me.”

“I don’t think she likes me. She does not smile or look at me when I talk to her.”

“I am a failure and will never be successful because I failed at school.”

When we face rejections and challenges in our lives, we can choose to look at it from two different perspectives: taking responsibility or feeling like a victim. When we decide to look at every rejection or problem from a victim point of view, we tend to find something or someone (including ourselves) to blame in order to justify the situation. So what results do you achieve by playing the role of the victim?

What about the taking responsibility viewpoint? Perhaps it’s time to question how we may have contributed to the situation. Moving on from there, we should ask: what do I want to do about it next?

When we realize that we have a choice in terms of how we wish to see things, life becomes more exciting and colourful.
