Everyone experiences rejection, whether we are rejected in a professional business environment, by our very own family members or socially. Rejection is necessary for reinventing ourselves, allowing more space to learn new things, and for personal growth. Rejection may not always be a bad thing after all, when we choose to see it in a positive light, as rejection is critical for long-term success. In fact, people who are most successful get the most rejection, but their sheer willingness to keep striving forward lead them to higher chance for success in whatever they do.
The question is - do you choose to wallow in self-pity and despair when facing rejection?
Here are 5 symptoms to look out for :
Feel the need to justify why you are being rejected
Regret over what just happened and blame self
Not willing to take risk any more and fail again
Irregular menstrual flow/testicular related issues
These symptoms relate to the sign of an out of sync sacral chakra, the orange chakra. In my last article I shared about balancing our chakras through the seven senses. Today we will discuss how we can use the sense of taste to bring into balance our orange chakra, through colour tea.
This week’s highlight :
Sense of Taste – Balancing Your Orange Chakra with Bentong Ginger Tea
The phenolic compounds in ginger are known to relieve gastrointestinal irritation, stimulate saliva and bile production. Ginger helps decrease the risk of obesity, and relieves menstrual discomfort. It helps to reduce and treat inflammatory conditions, improving digestion and increasing absorption of food nutrients into our body.
The revitalizing taste of the ginger tea helps to create space for our emotions to flow freely and to reach out to others with ease.
About The Plant
The scientific name for ginger is known as zingiber officinale. I prefer to use Bentong ginger tea as it has a spicier fragrance and a warm woody flavour. Comparing to the normal ginger, Bentong ginger has thinner skin, rich in gingerols and does not contain fibrous pulps.
Bentong ginger is produced in Bukit Tinggi, in the state of Pahang, Malaysia.
How to Make a good cup of Bentong ginger tea
You can use either dried grated ginger or ginger powder
Place 1-2 tablespoons in a cup of boiling water
Set timer for 10 minutes
When timer goes off, strain into a large mug and stir in sugar (you may need more or less, depending on how sweet you want your tea
Have a great cuppa tea and wishing you joy & happiness for the week ahead!
